Chicago Cubs at Cincinnati Reds – June 23 and 24, 2018
The drive to Cincinnati should have been a precursor to the baseball. The drive down was met with serious downpours of rain and construction backups. The baseball did not get any better as the Cubs were losers of the two games we attended and were swept by the Reds in the four game series.
Great American Ball Park is a newer ball park and very fan friendly from good sight lines to a family area with a T-ball field. The view for the park was looking out from the city where PNC looked into the city. Outside the stadium on one side is an expressway but on the outfield side is a nice park area that meets the Ohio River and goes down to Paul Brown Stadium where the Bengals play.
Did I mention the baseball played by the Cubs was not good. It was not, as they struggled in the Saturday game and blew a lead on Sunday. Hopefully my next visit to Cincinnati for baseball will be more productive for the Cubs
