You could not ask for a more beautiful day for baseball in early May. This game helped the memories of the April cold melt. Plus – it was a beautiful W for the Cubs over the Marlins.
I ventured down to the game with my friend Mark who is a life long Cubs fan so we had to take the tour of the new amenities of Wrigleyville and introduce Mark to the World Series Trophy. I had to say hi myself to the Trophy and admire the World Series ring they made for Mr. Cub.
We met up with our group and headed up to our seats. It was a nice thing that the game was not sold out so we could move seats so the pole was not blocking the pitcher. We did not think they would move the pole. We like to refer to it as “Old Park Problems”.
This game was never in doubt as the Cubs went ahead early and Kyle Hendricks pitched a good game. The Cubs won by a score of 14-2.
